A comment on legal education, labour and employment scholarship and labour and employment practice - 9-9-2009 4:13:51 This is a great time to be a Canadian labour and employment lawyer, but Canadian law schools now employ fewer full-time labour and employment professors than they have in decades. Labour leader stays silent about church abuse but please watch his TV ad - 22-5-2009 19:47:23 Not one comment from Eamon Gilmore about the Ryan report on their website. A big speech about unions though. It seems the most imporant thing for Gilmore right now is the TV ad that makes him look like Dad No. 1 in Ireland. That’s front and centre on the Labour site. Rats in a sack, ctd - 5-6-2009 7:40:20 The meltdown of Gordon Brown's Labour government continues. I was struck by this passage of resigning Cabinet minister James Purnell's letter to the Prime Minister. It is very revealing in what it says not about the differences between these men, but their similarities: “We both love the Labour Party. Party. I have worked for it for 20 years and you for far longer. ‘‘We know we owe it everything and it owes us nothing. I... more »

Is Labour better at Web 2.0 than we thought? - 22-4-2009 17:26:59 While I have expressed some concern that Labour is not doing as much with Web 2.0 social networking tools as it could, a new poll conducted on Twitter itself has found that they're not doing too badly as far as Twitterers are concerned.
A TweetMinster poll of almost 1,000 users of the service found that Labour was the most popular party, followed by the Liberal Democrats with 27% of the vote and Conservative with 20%. Click here for more. more »
