iPad: No “ragged text” or hyphenation option in iBooks e-reader? - 29-1-2010 14:43:12 From Fox News: Clayton Morris and fellow reporters use the Apple iPad, examining the e-book functionality.
Rumor has it that the iBooks e-reader currently does not let readers choose an “unjustified text” format. I hate reading justified text but am assuming that future version of iBooks will fix this. From a post by John Gruber:

iBooks: Take Them Wherever You May Go - 8-4-2010 19:16:45
We really loved that the Kindle app was available for both our iPad and the iPhone, but now we're definitely excited that Apple has decided to follow suit.
The new iPhone OS 4.0 update will enable users to download the iBooks application and add them to their iPhones. The iBookstore will be exactly as it is on the iPad and users can buy an iBook once and read it on either device. iBooks will also wirelessly sync your page, so you're always in the right chapter. more »

iTunes 9.1 now available with iPad and iBooks goodness - 31-3-2010 1:06:53 Apple has just unleashed iTunes 9.1 into the wild, and with it comes the ability to sync your iPad, as well as the ability to start managing ebooks. Interestingly enough, it looks like the iBooks store will only be accessible on the iPad itself, and not within iTunes, if we are understanding this correctly:
Sync with iPad to enjoy your favorite music, movies, TV shows, books and more on the go
Organize and sync books you’ve downloaded from iBooks on iPad or added to your iTunes library
Rename, rearrange, or remove Genius Mixes
Remember, iTunes does support DRM-free ePub ebooks also, so if you have any, feel free to add them to your iTunes library after installing 9.1! more »
