ok, just a quick update to say that HAIR MAN came BACK to the bake sale table! and he claimed to have found ANOTHER HAIR in a cookie! i told him "i'm sorry about the hair, but i don't feel comfortable giving you another cookie since all of the ones we've given you have hairs in them." then he just stood there and kept trying to talk to me, giving me sob stories...i assume he was trying to get a free cookie again. I bought this takeaway lunch from the curry bar at IGA supermarket on Royal St in East Perth: basmati rice, eggplant curry, cream potatoes and a piece of salmon with a mango glaze. I’m not one for fruit sauces with meat /fish, so I was surprised at how yummy it was. I hadn’t realised it was a mango glaze when I bought it - I just saw fish and got a bit excited, didn’t notice anything else!

so we found out that our M3 schedule "decision" is going to be held after spring break, rather than TOMORROW. ugh...i want to know NOW. but enough people complained that test week would be too stressful to do schedule switches, etc. alas...are we not med students? can we not multi-task? alas. UGH. so i'll have to internally freak out longer. oh well. i'm good at that. but it just goes to show you that people in my class...well at least some...are very vocal at their complaints. yes, i have made complaints, but i think they are justified. for example: course coordinators show up to tests without proper test materials and then get mad at students for wanting a proper scantron sheet more »

Interview #1: complete.<br /><br />ugh, I felt horrible. It was a panel-type interview. The manager with 4 other nurses all asking me questions from their little list. All of the questions seemed so vague to me, like, "Tell a time when you were compassionate..." ugh. what? How can I not answer this vague? I'm a nurse, I AM ALWAYS COMPASSIONATE. Every time they asked me to name a specific time, it is like my mind went blank and I could only mutter some dumb-ass answer. They didn't ask me hardly any clinical questions, mostly questions like the one above or, "tell a time when you had a conflict..." or "tell a time when someone was angry with yo and how you handled it...".<br /&g more »
