Back on Arduino! - 8-8-2009 14:33:08 Ok, I got more free time so I dedicated it to few Arduino tutorials starting from the simplest one : Hello World! – blinking a LED and culminating with the build of my own Arduino-based robot.
The plan is to learn you (and myself) the basics of connecting Arduino to LEDs, temperature sensors, distance sensors, DC [...] more »

Ext. Review: Pantech Matrix Pro Cell Phone @ Testfreaks - 23-3-2009 15:35:02 Obviously the Matrix Pro is based off of the Matrix which is aimed more towards people whole like to text a lot, the Matrix Pro keeps the good aspects of the Matrix and adds quite a lot more functionality in the same form factor with the addition of Windows Mobile and all that comes with it.
The design of the phone is nice, where the original Matrix had sort of a square look and feel to it the .... more »

How-To: 8x10 LED matrix - 26-8-2009 14:30:41
Syst3mX posted instructions for building an affordable 8x10 matrix display for use with Arduino -In this instructable I will show you how to build a quite fancy 8 by 10 L.E.D matrix(with scrolling text and animations) using the Arduino and 4017 decade counter. This type of matrix is easy to make and program and it is a good way learn how to multiplex.4017 chips can be had for a quarter or so - alternatively, the popular MAX7 more »

Arduino’s “Hello World!” : blinking a LED - 9-8-2009 6:58:03 As in all programming languages .. you start with a Hello World! code so you can see the basic structure for that language.
Because Arduino can’t just print ‘Hello World!’ (in fact it can but using an external device, like an LCD display, which I will describe in another tutorial) the easiest way is to blink [...] more »

Matrix Plug-in 3.0 - REALbasic 5 plug-in helps create matrices in apps. (Free) - 14-12-2009 3:04:20 Matrix Plug-in 3.0
Matrix Plugin for REALbasic 2008 allows you to construct programs which, because of operator and function overloading, can handle real matrices much like doubles and integers are handled. Matrix elements are doubles. A matrix can be entered in standard form in a MultiLine EditField and read in by a single instruction.

Ext. Review: In-Win Matrix Gaming Case @ Virtual-hideout - 14-9-2009 5:00:01 I like the looks of the IN-WIN Matrix, most of the people Ive shown it to have said the same thing. The removable dust filter has worked quite well during the time Ive been using the Matrix, but you still have to remember to clean it of course.
The compact size of the Matrix is, to me anyway, the most attractive selling point. $70 is definitely on the cheap end of the scale, and it has an excel.... more »

Learn how to use the Arduino microcontroller with Makes tutorial videos - 24-2-2009 18:41:27 Marc de Vinck has been producing an excellent series of tutorial videos that show you how to make things with the Arduino microcontroller. In this third installment, he uses the Arduino to control a servo motor with a potentiometer. If you're interested in learning how to use the Arduino, I recommend starting with the slim, easy-to-grok book, Getting Started with Arduino, by Massimo Banzi, the co-founder of Arduino.
